SCOAN’s Women of Grace Inaugurates Convention with a Call to True Womanhood

The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) held its inaugural Women of Grace (WOG) convention at its Egbe-Ikotun international headquarters over the weekend, marking a significant moment for the church and its female congregation.

The event, characterized by vibrant displays and deep spiritual engagement, drew women from across the globe to celebrate the virtues of womanhood in Christ.

The convention, a blend of cultural richness and spiritual edification, featured a variety of activities including local dances, drama sketches, career talks, a Bible quiz, and motivational speeches centered on themes like building a godly home. The highlight of the event was a special song by the WOG choristers titled “No Jesus, No Life,” which encapsulated the essence of the convention’s message.

Prominent speakers, including accomplished Christian entrepreneurs like Mrs. Karen Edwards, Evelyn Adedipe, Mary Paul, Joy Oputeh, and Oyeronke Adebomi, inspired the audience with their stories of balancing successful careers with strong Christian values. Their messages resonated deeply, leaving attendees motivated and filled with hope.

SCOAN’s leader, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, expressed her joy and spiritual excitement at the realization of this long-cherished dream. She described the Women of Grace as a divine directive aimed at restoring the essence of true womanhood, which she lamented is increasingly being distorted in today’s world. Pastor Evelyn credited her late husband, Prophet T.B. Joshua, for laying the foundational values of Jesus Christ upon which the church stands today. She emphasized the importance of grace, strength, dignity, and honor as essential qualities for women, drawing on Proverbs 31:25 in her address.

Mrs. Morenike Jegede, a coordinator for the group, highlighted the significance of WOG in fulfilling God’s will for women. She described the group as a well-structured institution dedicated to empowering women through Bible studies, prayers, and skills acquisition. The group, divided into three bands—Deborah, Esther, and Queen of Sheba—continues to grow as a supportive community for women facing various challenges.

The convention’s high points included the presentation of the “Woman of Virtues and Resilience” award to Pastor Evelyn Joshua and the empowerment of nine underprivileged women. Participants, like Mrs. Olaitan Famakinwa, praised the event as a source of inspiration and hope for the future of women.

The inaugural WOG convention has laid a solid foundation for enhancing the spiritual and physical well-being of women, reaffirming that true womanhood is integral to the beauty of God’s creation.
