Sanwo-Olu Defeats Rhodes-Vivour, Jandor, others in Lagos Guber Election

Going by the results from 19 out of 20 local government areas in Lagos announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as of 2:44 p.m. today, the Candidate of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has emerged winner in yesterday’s governorship election.

According to INEC’s announcement of results from the 19 LGAs, APC is leading with a total of 736, 171; Labour Party (LP) has 291, 362, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) takes the third position with 60, 981 votes.

Results from Eti-Osa Local Government Area are being awaited at press time.

The electoral umpires took a break at 2:44 pm promising to return to work by 5 pm.
