Rotarian Adarijo Installed as Sarumi Adini in Lagos

Hundreds of Muslim faithful recently witnessed the installation of the President, Rotary Club of Yaba as the Sarumi Adini of Olorunsogo Central Mosque in Lagos.

Rotarian Tunji Akin-Adarijo was turbaned at 3Bees Event Centre, Ketu, in Lagos alongside Alhaji Jimoh Olohunmodupe (Baba Adinni), Alhaji Yunus Olajide Oni (Seriki Adinni), Alhaji M’sbaudeen Adesina (Aare Adinni), and Alhaji (Dr) Saliu Oseni as Asiwaju Adinni.

The Chief Imam of Offa, Kwara State, Sheikh Muhyideen Salman Hussain, who was the Guest Lecturer at the event, urged the congregation to always realise that whatever they become in life is through the special grace of God, and that they must let it reflect in their support for Islam.

He spoke about grace and defined it as “getting involved in someone’s life and the life changes for good”.

Dignitaries at the event included Senator Musiliu Olatunde Obanikoro (Father of the Day), the Grand Chief Imam and Chairman Council of Chief Imam, Ifon-Osun, Orolu Local Government, Sheikh Muhibulahi Abdulsalam Adesina; Alhaja Monsurat Adenike Faronbi (Mother of the Day), and LCDA Chairmen – Hon. Abdul Rasaq Olusola Ajala (Odi-Olowo), Hon. Mayor Oladele Osinowo (Agboyi-Ketu).

Impressed by the presence of Senator Obanikoro, Sheikh Hussain asked at a point if he could touch him, and he sparked some laughter in the massive hall.

Also at the event were royal fathers – Oloworo of Oworoshoki, Oba Salihu Oloruntoyin; Alaketu of Ketuland, Oba Isiaka Balogun Oyero, and the Baale Bamgbe of Ketu, Chief Waheed Balogun Oyero.

The Chief Host was Alhaji Sulaiman Abdulsalam Adesina, who is the Chief Imam at Olohunsogo Central Mosque, Ketu and former Chairman, Council of Chief Imam, Kosofe Local Government, Lagos.
