An American singer has told how he took permission from Will Smith to have an affair with the actors wife when the couple were falling apart.
Following the revelation by the 27-year-old singer, August Alsina, Will Smith has vowed to get revenge on his wife Jada for having an affair.
The Hollywood actor admitted he thought he was never going to speak to his wife ever again after their marriage nearly broke up for good.
Jada became romantically involved with Alsina, when she was going through a “difficult” patch with the father of her children.
Will Smith, the leading role in ‘I Am Legend’ laughed off the pain as he joked about getting his wife back during the Red Table Talk.
He said: “I’m gunna get you back…”
It was over four years ago when Jada was swept up in a whirlwind romance with a younger singer.
But their marriage proved to survive the test of time as they got back together.
Heartbroken at the time, Will Smith recalled he thought he would never speak to his wife again.
The actor admitted it was a “miracle” the couple ever got back together.
He said: “I wasn’t sure I was ever gonna speak to you again. It’s a miracle.”
However, the star said he had once told Jada he would love her through anything – which proved to be true.
He recalled saying: “I said I can love you through anything.”
Will and Jada have been a power couple on the showbiz circuit.
They were married in a romantic ceremony in 1997.
The couple have raised their children Willow, 19, and Jaden, 22, in the limelight.
August made the bombshell revelation in an interview about his romance with Jada.
In a YouTube interview with Angela Yee, he claimed: “I actually sat down with Will [Smith] and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership…
“He gave me his blessing.
“When asked about the alleged affair with Jada, August said: “I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life, and I truly and really, really deeply love and have a ton of love for her.
“I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it – so much so to the point that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.”
