Rev King Wants Buhari’s Job

Matilda Omonaiye/

The race for President Muhammadu Buhari’s job in 2019 is getting more and more interesting as contenders emerge.

The latest contender who has thrown his hat in the ring is Rev King.

Yes. His Holiness, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo aka Rev King – the General Overseer of Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), who Justice Joseph Oyewole at a Lagos High Court tried for murder of a church member, Ann Uzoh, and condemned to death by hanging in 2007. The judgement was upheld by the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division and finally affirmed by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court in 2016.

While marking Rev King’s birthday yesterday, a leading member of his church exclusively told NewsmakersNG that the condemned preacher is contesting the 2019 Presidential elections on the platform of the newly registered Grassroot Development Party of Nigeria (GDPN).

According to the Brazil-based church leader, Rt Rev Ernest King, many Nigerians have been going to the prison in Sokoto to mount pressure on Rev King to come and contest and deliver the country.

He said: “This is the man that has solution for Nigeria. He prophesied about Nigeria’s case 18 years ago, that the country will come to a stage where there will be no solution. He said that he would be somewhere resting and they would bring the issue of Nigeria to him for him to solve for them.

“That was how they went to the prison about two months ago pleading that he should come and take over Nigeria. He had prophesied this 18 years ago.

“If Rev King should be allowed to handle Nigeria under 5 years, Nigeria will be one of the best countries in the world.”

He added: “This is the man that has solution to every problem on Earth, but Nigerians don’t know what God gave them. The wicked and occult people want to kill him, but it’s impossible. As he told them in the Court on that day, there’s no rope on Earth that can enter Rev King’s head.”

Rev King was arraigned on September 26, 2006 on a six-count charge of attempted murder and murder.
He pleaded not guilty to the allegations, but, on January 11, 2007, he was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for the attempted murder and death by hanging for the offence of murder.
The Lagos State Government had stated that Rev King poured petrol on the late Ann Uzoh and five other persons and that Uzoh died on August 2, 2006, 11 days after the act was perpetrated on her.

Rt Rev Ernest King has more to say about the case and the personality of the man they address as His Holiness, Rev King.

He told NewsmakersNG how Rev King had allegedly healed Gen Bamaiyi of kidney problem when they met in prison among other miracles at Ikoyi Prison and the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID).

He said in a Whatsapp chat and voice note sent to NewsmakersNG: “Rev King is the greatest Man of God on Earth. If you want to know him, that is the Lord himself. Since 2004, when he announced his identity, they started planning how to kill him, not knowing that he knows their plans. He had told us then that in ‘two years to come the evil powers are coming against me, but do not fear; they shall not overpower me’.

“When all these were happening, we were just laughing at them because they don’t know what they have dabbled into. Everything about his case was filled with wickedness and evil. Imagine a case of that magnitude, there is no police record of that case in Nigeria. What they wanted was to kill him instantly and nobody will say anything.

“The day they brought him to Panti (SCIID), police beat one man there to death; Rev King was inside. How did he know that somebody was dying? He just ran out and brought life back to the man. Go to Panti; go to Ikoyi Prison; go to Kaduna, Katsina and Sokoto, where he has done wonders.

“When you go to Ikoyi Prison, ask them when Rev King was there. Even the CP in charge of Ikoyi Prison who they asked to punish Rev King received a miracle. Immediately Rev King came in, and the man asked us: ‘Why are you people following this murderer?’ We said look at you, and Rev King just turned and told him: ‘Man mi, if I stay here two days, every grass and sand will worship me, including you.

“He gave the man a wonderful testimony in his family. He had a daughter that was crippled for long. They have carried her up and down, overseas and everywhere, no remedy. Rev King just told him: ‘By this time tomorrow, your daughter will rise up; the one that is crippled.

“Then, who told Rev King that that man had a crippled daughter. The thing happened as he said it…

“He cured Gen Bamaiyi that was accused of the murder of Kudirat Abiola in Kirikiri Prison. He met him there one fateful day. He was just passing and Bamaiyi greeted him ‘Good morning, sir’. He turned and asked Bamaiyi: ‘How are you?’ Bamaiyi said: ‘Fine sir!’ He said: ‘Are you fine with kidney problem?’ Bamaiyi said: ‘How did you know? He (Rev King) said, ‘That is why I’m in prison.’

“He told him: ‘Because of your humility and humbleness, the two angels here with me have given you two new kidneys. You can go and check.’ That was it. And on that day, he told him he was going to leave prison.

“All his words must come to past. Persecution is the only way to know the true people of God. All of them must be persecuted. Jesus Christ was persecuted and killed; Daniel was thrown into Lion’s den without any sin; Jeremiah went to prison, and thrown inside a pit. See how wicked human beings are; for no just cause. They will just cook up something and kill, but this time God has said none of his sons shall be killed again.

“Go to Sokoto Prison and see what is happening there. Muslims are jumping to Christianity. He prophesied it in 2001 that a time was coming when Muslims would turn to Christianity. They took him to the prison in the North and he has been curing prisoners, releasing them from prisons.”

As he informed NewsmakersNG that Rev King’s birthday would be celebrated on the pages of This Day Newspapers, the church leader stated: “He (Rev King) had only 6 branches as at 2006 prior to this fallacious case, but today the branches of his church is close to 300 branches in the whole world. I’m currently writing from Brazil and here we have 5 branches.”
