Fasting Muslims in Lagos have received succor in form of food items and cash from the Princess Adedoja Ogunwusi Foundation.
NewsmakersNG learned that the Foundation distributed the relief materials to those observing the 30-Day Ramadan at the Muslim communities in Isheri/Idimu Local Government Area of Lagos, Nigeria on April 3.
A team led by Princess Adedoja Ogunwusi Project Director in Nigeria, Hon. Dele Fasan, made donations to the Muslim faithful at Washkrah Mosque in the community.
“This will enable them to have a relaxed mind during their Ramadan period. We hope to do more soon,” Fasan said while addressing a gathering at the mosque.
The team was received with prayers, as beneficiaries expressed joy. The President of the Foundation, Princess Adedoja Ogunwusi, from Brazil, said: “It is with profound joy that this foundation can do this. I thank all well-wishers and I also use the opportunity to ask every individual to pray for Nigeria at this very delicate moment,” she said.
The Princess reaffirmed that the foundation would continue to extend support to the less privileged. She enjoined others to also join the crusade for a better environment, a Nigeria of peace and tranquillity.
