A massive rainstorm in Suleja, Niger State, today, has repeatedly claimed several lives and destroyed properties.
Unconfirmed reports say no fewer than 20 persons had lost their lives in the flood that followed the heavy downpour.
Seven people were killed during an earlier rainstorm on Tuesday and Wednesday, in Borgu Local Government Area of the state.
Among the seven reportedly killed was Abdulmumuni Mohammed, who was the village head of Masama in Duma District.
An eyewitness said the storm, which was later accompanied by a heavy rain, blew off the roof of the palace of the village head, making part of the roof and the building to collapse on him.
“The roof fell on the village head and he slumped and died on his way to a hospital,” the eyewitness had said.
Newsmakers has not been able to confirm the latest casualties.
