Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) Jimoh Moshood, is dropping his Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) rank for that of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
The Police Service Commission (PSC) Chairman, Sir Mike Okiro, has confirmed the elevation.
Thanking the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Ibrahim Idris and the PSC for considering him for the promotion, Moshood pledged that he would put his new rank to use in delivering better service to Nigerians and the police institution.
Moshood was appointed as FPRO on January 31, 2017. He has B.Sc in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, and he once served as a Police Public Relations Officer at the Federal Capital Territory Command, Abuja, where he earned the Commissioner of Police’s commendation for diligent and excellent performance.
He had attended several courses within and outside the country, few of which are Crime Prevention of Korea Police; the Police Training Institute, Seoul South Korea, and Training Course on Anti–Hijacking Techniques and Tactics for Developing Countries at Special Police Academy, Beijing, China.
He is also a member of Africa Business School, Abuja and Associate Fellow of Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria.
The officer also served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force as DPO Central Area, Abuja, between 2012 – 2013 and Chief Superintendent of Police in charge of Department of Finance and Administration, FCT Police Command, Abuja among others.
Until his appointment he was the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
