Police today said they have rescued a teenager, who was abducted by unidentified persons in Lagos.
Police said the victim, who gave his name as Emmanuel Timilehin, was abducted from Ikotun area of Lagos, on November 13.
According to police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the victim’s age is between 11 and 14.
He said the victim appeared disoriented and was not able to remember his parents’ name and house address.
Hundeyin appealed to anyone who recognises the victim to contact his parents or relatives.
“This person was rescued as he was about to be abandoned by his abductor. He is under treatment and is still incoherent. From the little he could mutter, he was abducted in Jakande, Ikotun area on Sunday, November 13, 2022.
“He gave his name as Emmanuel Timilehin Adeleke. He keeps giving different names and addresses for his parents. He looks between 11 and 14 years old. Any information that would assist in locating and identifying his parents/guardians would be appreciated,” a statement by Hundeyin reads.
