It was a red-letter day for crime fighters in Lagos today as the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) forged a partnership with the police to combat crimes in new ways.
The partnership was forged by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP) Hakeem Odumosu and the Zonal Manager of NIPOST, Lagos Zone, Dr Mike Umo.
They have set in motion mechanisms to harness all available resources to solidify policing structures in the state, says the Lagos State police spokesman, SP Muyiwa Adejobi.
According to Adejobi, Odumosu reiterated his plans on better policing of Lagos State while receiving Dr Umo in his Ikeja office.
Dr Umo, who was accompanied by his team, including the Deputy Zonal Manager, Corporate Communications, Mrs Bolanle Ekeogu, introduced NIPOST’s plans and facilities that would assist the police in intelligence gathering and crime-fighting within and beyond the state.
