Police Nab Nine Suspects as Cultists Kill Student, Spread Fear at The Polytechnic Ibadan

Nine students suspected to be cult members have been held by the police in Oyo State after a rampage on the campus of The Polytechnic Ibadan claimed one life.

Police authorities told NewsmakersNG today that peace has been restored to the campus after yesterday’s pandemonium and an attempt to continue the fight today.

Students on the run when the cultists struck.

The suspected cultists stormed the campus on several motorbikes and sent students running for their lives. The pandemonium affected business activities at neighbouring environments, including the Apete area.

The Commissioner of Police (CP) Abiodun Odude confirmed that it was a cult war in which one student was killed.
