Fresh human body parts were found by the police in the hands of a jailbird at Obada-Oko in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Police spokesperson at Zone 2 police headquarters in Lagos, SP Dolapo Badmus, identified the suspect as Olufemi Goriola, who had been jailed twice for dealing in human parts.
She said, “He was arrested after the command received an information that the suspect ‘an ex convict’ deals in sales of human body parts.
“Upon the tip-off, the operatives trailed the suspect to Obada-Oko, in Ogun State where he was arrested at about 8pm yesterday.
“The suspect has confessed to be a dealer in sales of human part, while investigation revealed that he has been to prison twice over the same offence.”
Badmus told Newsmakers that the AIG in charge of Zone 2, covering Lagos and Ogun states, Mr Adamu Ibrahim has directed that the suspect be thoroughly investigated and charged to court.
