The police in Lagos have identified the man who jumped into the lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge in Lagos today as one Adekunle Oluseyi John.
Lagos police spokesman, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, described the man as an Ondo State native of about 40 years old.
He said that the suicide was reported at Maroko Division at about 10:15am and police operatives raced to the scene and alerted rescue unit.
Famous-Cole said, “During a search of the area, his mobile phone was retrieved from the scene. The man is about 40 years of age named Adekunle Oluseyi John from Ondo state.
The police could not, however, place the motive for the suicide.
