The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has countered a wave of misinformation regarding the deployment of its personnel.
The authorities have dismissed circulating documents claiming that thousands of officers have been withdrawn from VIP protection duties. The NPF insists that these documents are completely fake and that no mass redeployment of this nature has been approved.
The clarification is a direct response to rising public anxiety and the urgent need for accurate security information during sensitive periods.
