The Rivers State Police Command has declared two top aides at the Ahoada-East Local Government Council wanted for alleged involvement in a brutal assault on the Sole Administrator, Hon. Goodluck Iheanachor.
The suspects, Mr. Hector Ekakita, Chief Security Officer, and Mr. Aloni Olodi, Chief of Staff, were accused of leading a gang of over 30 persons in an attack that left the administrator severely injured and hospitalized.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the violent incident occurred on June 20, 2025, at the Ahoada-East Council Secretariat. The suspects allegedly conspired to assault Hon. Iheanachor, inflicted bodily harm, stole vital documents, seized mobile phones, and looted both personal and official items from his office.
Despite a public notice and formal invitations for questioning, both men have reportedly refused to honour police summons. Consequently, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, has declared them wanted and urged them to report to the Police Headquarters on Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, without delay.
The Police have warned that anyone caught aiding or shielding the suspects will face legal consequences.
