Police Capture Rambo of the North …Bandit Shoots 2 AK47 Rifles at a Time

Almost two decades after the reign of a notorious bandit known as Shina Rambo ended in Southwest Nigeria, the police have arrested another Rambo in the Northern part of the country.

The suspect, according to the police, was named Rambo because he used to fire two AK47 rifles at the same time during operations.

Described as a notorious gang leader of kidnappers, Barau Ibrahim aka Rambo was arrested today by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by DCP Abba Kyari.

The police told NewsmakersNG that Rambo’s gang had been terrorizing Birnin Gwari axis of Kaduna State, Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Express Way and Zamfara State before he was caught in his Volkswagen Golf used for operations today.

The police told NewsmakersNG that two AK47 rifles and two AK47 rifle magazines with 51 live ammunition were recovered from the suspect.

The police revealed more about the arrest in a statement sent to NewsmakersNG: “Today being 13/5/2018 at about O130hrs based on credible intelligence, IRT Operatives attached to Operation Absolute Sanity launched by IGP Ibrahim K. Idris arrested one of the Most Wanted kidnapper/armed robber and killers within Maraban Yakawada, Giwa local government area of Kaduna State named Bara’u Ibrahim aka Rambo, who became prominent in the crime world for operating with 2 AK47 Rifles and his abilities in firing 2 AK47 Rifles at the same time during their operations in Kaduna and Zamfara States.

“Another gang member, Shehu Abdullahi aka Gashin Baki, 40years was equally arrested. IRT operatives recovered 2 AK47 Rifles with S/Nos: AD160102 and 1978AD4328 with 51 live ammunition respectively in the operational VW Golf Car of Rambo which is equally recovered.

“Serious efforts in progress as IRT operatives deployed to Kaduna are on unrelenting follow up against the remaining killers and kidnappers on the run.”
