Policemen in Ogun have arrested two fake army officers in Agbado area of the state.
According to the state police spokesman, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi the suspects, Joseph David and Adebayo Olanrewaju, usually extort motorists and commuters in the area.
They allegedly brutalised several motorists, who dared to challenge their presence on the road.
They were eventually arrested, after allegedly assaulting a lawyer, Paul Oniyo and one Chima Solomon, in the course of their illegal activities.
The two victims lodged a complaint at the Agbado police division, which led to the arrest of the suspects by policemen from the station.
The pair later confessed to impersonating military personnel during interrogation at the police station.
Oyeyemi said that the suspects had been moved to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department, in Abeokuta, the state capital, for further investigation.
