Regular and chartered flights will resume normal operations in Poland from July 1, ending passenger limits imposed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The move was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister, Jadwiga Emilewicz.
He said that a relevant government ordinance was awaiting the presidential signature.
According to him, chartered flights running on 50 per cent capacity are unprofitable for tourist companies that contributed 6.9 per cent to the country’s GDP last year.
Passengers would, however, follow strict sanitary regime recommended by the Government Sanitary Service (GIS), including the wearing of face masks at all times.
