Photos: Villagers Pay Tribute to Dead Elephant

Villagers in Morigaon district of India’s northeastern state of Assam have paid tribute to a dead elephant after it was hit by a train, Xinhua reports.

The incident happened on Wednesday after two elephants were hit by a train, according to a spokesperson for India’s Northeastern Frontier Railway.
