The National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) is currently holding a protest march in Abuja against the alleged impunity exhibited by the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Danladi Umar.
Umar was recently caught on camera assaulting a security guard at the popular Banex Plaza, Wuse 2, Abuja.
The protesters who carried posters with various inscription, also chanted, “Danlandi Umar must go!”
Different speakers at the protest are calling on all relevant stakeholders, especially the National Assembly, to activate the legislative process for the removal of the CCT Chairman from office.
The protesters lamented the fact that a judicial officer of Umar’s standing still has his job after the recorded physical and bigoted verbal assault he inflicted on an innocent plaza security guard.
