The theme of the one-day seminar to be declared open by the state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, in the state capital, Osogbo, is: ‘The Imperativeness of Police Collaboration with Essential Stakeholders: Towards Secured, Free and Credible Elections in Nigeria’.

The Vice-Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof Eyitope Ogunbodede, will be the Chairman/Moderator at the event, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Royal Father of the Day.

Other notable guests expected at the event include the National Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, officials of all the political parties, sister security agencies, interest groups and opinion leaders.

Foreign missions including the United States, Britain, African Union, European Union, local and foreign election observers are equally participating.
