The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) has named its newly-built Research Centre, in Kalambo Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo, after former Nigerian president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Named ‘President Olusegun Obasanjo Research Campus’ the centre was inaugurated on Wednesday by President Félix Tshisekedi of Congo DRC.
Dignitaries that witnessed the ceremony included, the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and President of the African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina.
