April 15, 2017 was a day that former Inspector General of Police, Dr Solomon Arase and his wife, Agharese, would have hugged if they could get their arms around it.
It was a day when dignitaries representing every tribe and tongue from all over the country gathered in Benin City, Edo State, to honour the couple at their daughter’s wedding.
The daughter, Claire Adesuwa Arase exchanged vows with Adebisi Oluwaseun Abegunde at the Living Faith Church, Iyekogba, in Benin City. Guests were later treated to a grand reception at Gloria Gardens Event Centre in the ancient city that is home to the Arase family.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Prince D.A.O Abegunde and Mrs D. O. Abegunde of Momolosho Ruling House, at Igangun Compound, Omu-Aran, in Kwara State.
The bride and groom are graduates of Economics.
