Photos: 3 Policemen Narrowly Escape Death as Caterpillar Rams Patrol Van in Ekiti

Ololade Adeyanju/

Three policemen on a routine patrol narrowly escaped being crushed to death by a caterpillar, which rammed into their pickup van in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the driver had lost control of the caterpillar along the NTA-Ilawe road and crashed into the patrol van which was coming in the opposite direction.

The impact had reportedly upturned the patrol van and pushed it a few metres before stopping.

The policemen, who sustained varying degrees of injuries, have been taken to an undisclosed hospital in the town.
