A lawyer whose head was cracked by thugs loyal to a political party during the supplementary election in Osun State today has finally been treated after a long delay at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH) because of the ongoing workers strike.
Mr Tope Elusogbon, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Osun, was attacked with sticks and stones as he was about to grant an interview to Channels TV’s Seun Okinbaloye.
He revealed that doctors had checked his vital organs and he felt better after he was treated.
He said, “I am fine. I have gone for checks on my vitals at OAUTH, Ife. X-ray shows the head injury is not dangerous. I have been given drugs and the wound dressed. No wahala. Discharged and passed as ‘good to go’.
