Former vice president and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the 2019 presidential election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has visited the home of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, in Abeokuta, Ogun State to beg for his support.
Atiku was accompanied by the national chairman of PDP, Mr Uche Secondus; his campaign coordinator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, and some PDP chieftains.
Also at the meeting are Rev. Fr Matthew Kukah, Sheik Abubakar Gumi, and Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of Winners Chapel.
Atiku is seeking the endorsement of Obasanjo, his former boss and most vocal critic, for his presidential ambition.
NewsmakersNG learnt that Atiku left the meeting endorsed by Obasanjo.
