Former Anambra State governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, on Sunday met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and later paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan.
The visits, he said, were part of ongoing efforts to foster national unity and good governance.
Obi, who was accompanied by Dr Yunusa Tanko, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and Segun Adebanjo, disclosed the details in a post on his official X handle.
“In both visits, we were fortunate to discuss the state of our nation and how all of us can live in unity, love, fairness and justice progressively together,” he wrote.
“The meetings make me believe that coming together of a competent team with capacity, compassion, and commitment to build a new Nigeria is POssible,” Obi added.
The former governor also congratulated Ladoja, a former Oyo State governor, ahead of his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on September 26, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience would enrich his reign.
