A pastor has been arrested by the police in Ogun State and his church demolished by protesters over alleged murder of his lover, who was dismembered and buried inside the church.
Identified as Oluwatobiloba Ipense, a pastor at Holy Gathering Evangelical Church of God, Papalanto, Ewekoro area of Ogun State, the police told NewsmakersNG that he is suspected to have killed his lover, Raliat Sanni, for ritual purposes.
According to the police, the victim was beheaded, her arms severed, and the body was found buried on the pastor’s uncompleted church premises.
The corpse was buried in one of the rooms close to the altar.
