Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, has disclosed that Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo, would be detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) overnight unless he meets the terms of his adminstrative bail.

Mba in a telephone chat with NewsmakersNG at about 10.45pm confirmed that Fatoyinbo was still at the FCID.

He stated: “He is still with us, but I can’t say if he would be released tonight. He has been given administrative bail, but he will only be released if he meets the bail conditions.”

Detectives had earlier today interrogated Fatoyinbo for several hours in connection with the rape allegations levelled against him by celebrity photographer, Busola Dakolo.

Busola had accused Fatoyinbo raping her twice when she was a teenager in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Fatoyinbo was reportedly questioned at the FCID, Garki Area 10, Abuja, by a team of detectives led by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adaku Anya.

Apart from Fatoyinbo, detectives also reportedly questioned two witnesses including the pastor of COZA Port Harcourt branch, Wole Soetan and the pastor of COZA Lagos branch, Mr. Folarin Ogunsola.

The pastor had earlier shunned a panel set up by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria to investigate the rape allegations, stating that he was advised by his lawyers not to appear before the panel because it was prejudiced and may not conduct an impartial session.

The cleric in a statement last Friday, however, said he would prefer to appear before the panel after the police investigations.
