Oyo Records 2 More Deaths as COVID-19 Cases in iSON Xperiences Rise to 152

The Oyo State government has confirmed one more COVID-19 case from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan and one case each from five other Local Government Areas of the state.

Governor Seyi Makinde, who made the disclosure via his Twitter handle, in the early hours of today, said the state also recorded two additional COVID-19 deaths.

The number of cases from iSON Xperiences is now 152, while the total number of confirmed cases in the state had risen to 250 with six fatalities.

The governor further disclosed that 17 persons were discharged yesterday, which brought the number of COVID-19 patients who have recovered in state to 75.

Makinde tweeted, “Seventeen confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to seventy-five.

“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for six suspected cases came back POSITIVE. One case is from iSON Xperiences and one each from Ibadan South West, Ibadan South East, Surulere, Ido and Egbeda Local Government Areas.

“Sadly, two of the six positive cases confirmed today had already passed away. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 250 and the total number of deaths is six.”
