Osun State governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has announced the appointment of Mr Adeniyi Francis Adesina, the Deputy Editor (News) of The Nation Newspapers, as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).
NewsmakersNG learnt that the appointment was announced via a statement issued by Osun State Head of Service, Dr Oyebade Olowogboyega.
Adesina, who has since resumed duty in Osogbo, the state capital, brings over 30 years of experience in top-level journalism practice into his new job. He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and has attended several professional media courses abroad, including the United Kingdom and Denmark.
After making his name as a versatile sports journalist at the defunct Concord Press of Nigeria, travelling around the world to cover major sporting events, Adesina also worked at the Punch newspapers before berthing at The Nation.
He is happily married with children.
