There’s a folklore about a Lord Mayor of London, Dick (Richard) Whittington, who rose from poverty-stricken childhood with the fortune he made through the sale of his cat to a rat-infested country.

Today, the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, who is looking for better business prospects for the country, received the present-day Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Charlse Bowman, who led a delegation of business and investment interests from the United Kingdom to Abuja.

Did they talk about the cat?

British High Commissioner in Nigeria, Paul Arkwright, and the Ministers of Finance & Industry Trade & Investment were also at the meeting. Photos by NOVO ISIORO (NAN).
