The Nigeria Customs Service, Port Harcourt Area II Command, Onne, Rivers State, has recorded a historic feat with a revenue generation of ₦76,075,447,369.83 in October 2025, its highest monthly collection ever.

The achievement was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs Theophilus Duniya.

According to the statement, the revenue figure reflects the impact of decisive leadership, strategic deployment, and sustained stakeholder engagement under the watch of Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali, the Customs Area Controller.

“This record-breaking performance is attributed to the deliberate and conscious stakeholder engagement spearheaded by Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali,” the statement read.

It added that ongoing dialogue with stakeholders and consistent interaction with unit heads had emphasized the importance of facilitating legitimate trade, enforcing compliance, and adding value to the Command’s operations.

The Command’s correspondent gathered that these initiatives have significantly boosted efficiency and accountability, underscoring Comptroller Alkali’s commitment to national economic growth through effective revenue generation and trade facilitation.

The statement further disclosed that the Customs Area Controller has strategically deployed officers based on operational needs to ensure optimal resource allocation and efficiency across all units.

“This proactive measure has enhanced the Command’s capacity to meet and exceed its monthly revenue targets,” it stated.

Expressing appreciation, Comptroller Alkali commended all port stakeholders, importers, licensed Customs agents, and officers of the Command for their patriotism, synergy, and dedication, urging them to sustain the momentum.

“This milestone is a testament to what we can achieve through teamwork and dedication to national development. We shall continue to strengthen our systems to sustain this momentum,” the Onne Customs boss said.
