Ondo APC Stakeholders Write Ganduje, Demand Sack of Party Chair

Segun Atanda/

A group within the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, led a prominent party leader from Akure, Hon. Afe Olowookere, has called for the immediate suspension of state chairman of the party, Mr. Ade Adetimehin.

In a letter addressed to the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, the group, which calls itself Progressive Stakeholders, accused Adetimehin of myriad of crimes, chief among which are corruption and anti-party activities.

The letter jointly signed by Olowookere and a former state secretary of the party, Hon. Raman Rotimi, demanded an investigation of the allegations levelled against Adetimehin.

The letter stated in part, “Considering the coming governorship election in the state and the importance of our state to the national politics, it will be dangerous to retain and allow him to superintend over the affairs of the party during this period.

“We call for immediate investigation into these allegations and request your urgent intervention to prevent the state of anarchy and lawlessness in our dear state.

“We call for the suspension of Mr. Ade Adetimehin pending the outcome of the thorough investigation of these allegations by the national chairman within the next seven (7) to fourteen (14) days after which we can not guarantee the continued consequences of the suppressed anger within the Ondo State chapter of APC.”
