Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has pledged to return to the classroom after his coronation.
The former governor made the promise yesterday while receiving the management of his alma mater, Ibadan Boys’ High School, led by the Principal, Rasheed Fasasi, at his Bodija residence.
Ladoja recalled his days at the school with fondness, noting that he once stood in front of the chalkboard as a Mathematics and Physics teacher.
He said his post-coronation visit would be a chance to reconnect with his roots and inspire the next generation.
“Beyond being an alumnus, I also taught Mathematics and Physics at Ibadan Boys’ High School. When I return after my coronation, I intend to step into the classroom again and engage the students,” he said.
The Olubadan-designate expressed gratitude to the school management for the courtesy visit and commended the principal for preserving the institution’s reputation as a model of learning and discipline.
Responding, Fasasi congratulated Ladoja on his forthcoming coronation, describing the anticipated royal visit as one that would rekindle the students’ pride and boost their morale.
