The African Chairman of United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNESC), Dr. Williams Azuma Ijoma has applauded the charity works being done by the former Imo State governor and current APC Presidential aspirant, Sen. Rochas Okorocha for the less privileged.
Ijoma, who visited the Senator on Wednesday in his office at Unity House, Garki, Abuja was dazzled by what he called the Senator’s kind gesture geared towards the education of indigent students.
“The impromptu meeting which began at about 4:15 pm, was full of humour as Senator Okorocha was consistently cracking healthy jokes in-between,” he said.
The UNESC Scribe said that he was thrown aback on realizing the great works that Owelle has done in the country, and was more amazed on seeing the great impact made by Sen. Okorocha in the area of education in particular.
He added, “Rochas Foundation College of Africa is an unimaginable dream come true for Africans. A college that has offered scholarships to students from most parts of Africa is worthy of recommendation.”
He promised to partner with the Senator on his educational charity drive.
Dr. Ijoma, a lecturer in the Republic of Togo before his appointment as the African Chairman of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, said he understood fully the positive impact that Rochas Foundation College of Africa has over the continent.
“Quality education guarantees the future of every child.
“Africa will become a better continent if we have five people like Sen. Okorocha,” he said.
