The WTO boss said voting process was yet to commence at the polling unit as at 12.3pm despite the fact some people had arrived as early as 7am.
She wrote, “Waiting to vote at my polling station Umuda Isingwu village Umuahia Abia state. Waiting for an hour. People have been waiting since 7 am.”
NewsmakersNG learnt that several polling units across the country are also witnessing delayed commencement of voting and in some cases complete absence of election officials.
There have also been reports of disruption of voting, burning of electoral materials and voter intimidation in some parts of Lagos State.
