Police authorities in Ogun State have assured residents of adequate and elaborate security arrangement during the forthcoming Governorship and House of Assemblies election March 9.

In a statement issued today, the state police spokesman, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, says the security arrangement will ensure a rancor free electioneering process.

The state reads in part: “To this end, all our Special Units and tactical Squads such as PMF, SARS, Anti- Kidnapping/Cultist Unit, SCIID as well as all Area Commands and Divisions have been put on red alert to deal decisively with anybody or group who might want to foment any form of trouble capable of undermining the process of the election.

“Also, the Command wish to state unequivocally that any act of thuggery, violence and hooliganism will not be tolerated from anybody no matter how highly placed the person maybe, before during and after the election.

“Therefore, all law abiding Citizens of the State are hereby enjoined to go out and cast their votes on the Election Day without   fear of any form of harassment or intimidation.

“Three additional Commissioners of Police have been deployed to the State to supervise elections in each of the 3 Senatorial districts, their names and phone numbers are as follows:

1.         CP AGUNBIADE LASORE: OGUN WEST – 08034506364

2.         CP FIMIHAN ADEOYE: OGUN CENTRAL- 08033415589

3.               CP GBENGA ADEYANJU: OGUN EAST – 08037917182.

While AIG Karima Hosea Hassan with telephone number 08034506364 will be the overall Commander.”
