Eight persons have been arrested by the police in Ogun, after N30million worth of goods were stolen from a Coca-Cola company warehouse in the state.
According to the police, the suspects were rounded up in Ali-Ishiba area of Sango-Ota, while off-loading the stolen items, including heavy duty batteries, radiators and kick-starters.
Newsmakersng learnt that the burglary took place in Ota area of Ogun State.
Working on a tip-off, detectives from Onipanu Division raced to the scene and rounded up the suspects.
Police spokesman in Ogun State, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said that the CP had directed that the suspects be transferred to the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS), at Eleweran, Abeokuta.
He said, “The CP has, in his usual reaction to crime and criminality, ordered that the suspects, on completion of investigation, be prosecuted.”
