Ogun Police Announce Security Measures for Eid Kabir Festivities

The police in Ogun State have launched an extensive security operation to ensure a safe and peaceful holiday for residents and visitors during Eid Kabir celebration.

Five emergency telephone numbers have also been released to respond to those in urgent need of security assistance. The lines are: 09159578888, 09062837609, 09120141706, 09151027369, 07084972994.

According to the state police spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, the Commissioner of Police (CP) Abiodun Alamatu, has deployed officers to key areas across the state, conducting stop-and-search operations and maintaining a visible presence to deter potential threats.

In addition to patrolling critical locations, joint teams with other security agencies will monitor major highways such as the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode-Benin Highway around the clock.

The Command has also urged the public to remain vigilant, especially in crowded places like eateries and hotels, and to report any suspicious activities through the Command’s active social media channels and helplines.

Alamatu extends his warm wishes to the Muslim community, ensuring them of the police’s dedication to a secure and joyous celebration.
