A Nigerian pastor, identified as Timothy Oluwatimilehin, has allegedly confessed to sleeping with a married woman and her two daughters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The pastor, who shepherds the Spirit-Filled International Christian Church in Abeokuta, has reportedly been arrested by the police.
Spokesperson for the police in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement today.
He said the pastor was arrested following a complaint lodged at Adatan police station, Abeokuta, by the woman’s husband.
According to Oyeyemi, the husband reported that his wife and two daughters were lured by the pastor of their church, who has been having sex with them.
“Upon the report, the DPO Adatan division, SP Abiodun Salau, detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the pastor.
“On interrogation, the pastor confessed to committing the crime but pleaded for forgiveness.
“In his confession, he explained that he took advantage of a little misunderstanding between the woman and her husband to carry out the devilish act,” Oyeyemi said.
He added the Ogun State police commissioner, Lanre Bankole, has directed the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department to take over the case and ensure the suspect is prosecuted as soon as possible.
