In a heartwarming gesture, the Oba Matemilola Oluyalo Otileta VII Foundation has donated a variety of essential consumable and household items to the Tobby Emmanuel Foundation, an orphanage located in the Oke Zioni, Obantoko area of Abeokuta, Ogun State. The donations, aimed at improving the welfare of the children at the home, were made during a visit led by Olori Kadijat Matemilola.

The Tobby Emmanuel Foundation, which houses over 20 orphans and physically challenged individuals, warmly received Olori Kadijat and her team. The children, thrilled by the visit, expressed their appreciation with songs and cheers, making the occasion both colorful and memorable.

In her remarks, Olori Kadijat Matemilola explained that the Oba Matemilola Foundation, established by the monarch in October 2022, was founded with the mission to bring joy and support to those in need. She emphasized that the foundation is committed to ongoing charitable activities, including donations and scholarships for indigent students, with a focus on welfare, health, and education.

“We are here at Tobby Emmanuel Foundation to support the home, just as we have done in other places. The Oba Saka Matemilola Foundation is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the needy, and we are collaborating with other foundations both within and outside Nigeria,” Olori Kadijat said, highlighting successful recent collaborations in the United Kingdom and the United States.

Tobi Emmanuel, the Director of the orphanage, expressed deep gratitude to the monarch, the Olori, and the foundation for their generous support. He noted that the donations provided much-needed relief for the home and its children and prayed for the continued success of the donor foundation.

Emmanuel also shared that the orphanage had previously paid a courtesy visit to the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, where they were warmly received by the royal father, who has since maintained regular contact with the home, offering support and encouragement.

Among the items donated to the orphanage were diapers, toiletries, children’s clothing, shoes, and bags, all of which will go a long way in enhancing the lives of the children at the Tobby Emmanuel Foundation.
