Nobody Trapped Inside Collapsed Police Building, Says Badmos

Police have said nobody was trapped in the rubble of the building that partially collapsed killing two residents at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, early today.

Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, SP Dolapo Badmos, told journalists that rescue efforts had ended at the site of the incident.

She confirmed that two people were killed in the incident, as earlier reported by the media. She, however, did not reveal their identities.

“Two people lost their lives. Nobody is inside the rubble,” Badmos stated.

Her statement was corroborated by officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), who led rescue efforts at the scene.
