No Retreat, No Surrender: Akin Bash Set to Create Upset in Alimosho …Pledges Quality Representation

Segun Atanda/

Is Alimosho set for a new dawn in quality representation?

That’s the big question today as voters go out to elect a representative in the Lagos House of Assembly election in Alimosho Constituency 01, where a popular candidate who left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Accord Party is expected to create an upset.

Man with a mission, Akin Idowu Bashiru aka Akin Bash says in his manifesto that he would facilitate strategic development partnerships within the local, regional and global space in order to enhance Constituency Integration and Effective Parliamentary Practice towards the improvement of the Society in service to the people and for the benefit of all stakeholders.

He also offered a delivery-focused, people-centred representation that accelerates and promotes parliamentary best practices and Value-Adding Community Service.

He observed in a recent letter to the people that Alimosho constituents have been subjected to the most sedentary, dysfunctional and run-of-the mill representation in the past seven years.

Amid rumours that he was withdrawing from the race, Bashiru says in a statement: “I am still in the race to win the Lagos State House of Assembly Alimosho 01 Election.”

The statement reads: “My attention has been drawn to the rumour making the rounds that I have withdrawn from today’s House of Assembly election.

“This surely is the handiwork of callous and malicious sponsors of an opponent who is afraid of losing the election woefully, despite the heavy inducement of the public and the rumoured collusion with Election officials to do multiple voting and use of other means to subvert democracy.

“I state categorically that, I am still in the race to win and ready to confront them headlong.

“All their evil plans and collusion to thwart the people’s mandate through illegal means are well known to us and will be rejected by tomorrow.

“The purported use of Project 5X5 Exco to do multiple voting using easily removable ink across all polling station is well known and will be exposed tomorrow.”
