Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mele Kyari, has disowned a Facebook account bearing his name and picture.
Kyari made the disclaimer in a tweet on his handle, @MKKyari, yesterday.
The tweet read: “Beware of anyone posing as Mele Kyari on Facebook. I do not have a Facebook account.”
Some of those who reacted to the tweet however suggested that the NNPC boss should urgently explore all avenues to have his social media accounts verified considering the sensitive nature of the position he occupies.
Kyari had earlier yesterday tweeted a warning to the public that he had not sent anyone or persons to solicit material support on his behalf for the upcoming wedding of his son.
He noted that the only kind of support he expects from people ahead of the December 28 ceremony is their prayers.
