The British High Commission has disclosed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was not arrested on british soil.
A spokesperson for the British High Commission, Dean Hurlock, disclosed this in an interview with TheCable.
Nigeria’s attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice, Abubakar Malami, had told journalists in Abuja, yesterday, that Kanu was picked up on Sunday as result of “the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services”.
But Hurlock categorically that “Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested in the UK for extradition purposes”.
