NJC Recommends 70 for Judicial Offices

Names of 70 officials have been forwarded to their respective state governors for appointment as Heads of Courts and other Judicial Officers in Nigeria.

According to a statement from the Director, Information at the National Judicial Council (NJC), Mr Soji Oye, the list was sent after the 91st meeting of the Body under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Honourable Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad.

During the meeting held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NJC considered the list of candidates presented by its Interview Committee and resolved to recommend the names of 70 successful candidates to their respective state governors for appointment as Heads of Courts and other judicial officers in Nigeria.
