The National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, has announced its lineup of 2025 short courses designed to equip professionals across various sectors with critical skills in leadership, policy formulation, strategy, and security management.

As Nigeria navigates an increasingly complex socio-political and economic landscape, NIPSS aims to bridge knowledge gaps and enhance the capacity of top executives, security personnel, and emerging leaders. The courses, which will be held at the Institute’s headquarters in Kuru, Plateau State, cover a diverse range of subjects, including the flagship Policy, Strategy, and Leadership Course (PSLC), Cyber-Security and Intelligence Management, Youth Leadership Development, and Gender and Public Policy Studies.

One of the standout offerings is the Strategy Course for Command Responsibility, Cyber-Security, and Intelligence Management, designed for military, intelligence, and law enforcement officers. It addresses evolving security threats and enhances operational decision-making. Meanwhile, the Youth Leadership Development Course focuses on shaping the next generation of leaders, equipping them with the tools to drive sustainable development.

Recognizing the need for inclusive governance, NIPSS is also launching a specialized Gender, Governance, and Leadership Course, aimed at fostering gender-sensitive policies and equitable leadership representation. Additionally, professionals transitioning into retirement can benefit from the Pre-Retirement Training, which provides financial planning and entrepreneurship guidance.

Past participants have lauded NIPSS programs as transformative, with alumni noting significant improvements in strategic thinking, policy implementation, and leadership effectiveness. With over 3,000 short course graduates since 2008, the Institute remains a premier hub for policy innovation and executive development in Nigeria.

The 2025 courses are set to begin in May, with multiple sessions running through November. Registration is now open, and interested participants are encouraged to visit www.nipsskuru.gov.ng for details.
