The number of daily COVID-19 infections went up again yesterday with the confirmation of 196 new cases by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The agency gave the latest figures via its Twitter handle few minutes to midnight yesterday.
The country recorded 195 cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Analysis of yesterday’s figures shows that Lagos State remained the epicentre of the disease with 87 cases, followed by Kano State with 24.
The country also recorded seven coronavirus-related deaths yesterday.
Other states are, Gombe 18, Kaduna 17, FCT 16, Katsina 10, Sokoto 8, Edo 7, Borno 6, while Yobe, Ebonyi and Adamawa recorded one case each.
The agency added that there are currently 1728 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country, out of which 307 have been discharged and 51 have died.
