Nigeria recorded a significant increase in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases yesterday with 120 new infections.
This represents a sharp increase in the number of confirmed cases compared to recent figures which have consistently remained below 50.
This is coming amidst growing aversion to the Astra-Zeneca vaccine being administered in the country due to reports of a rare blood clot, a development that has not been categorically addressed by the health authorities.
